In the story on CNN they tell the story about Lisa Strongs and her challenges around the house and how her kids are being so helpful . Lisa got a kidney stone six years ago and because of the inflammation she had to get her arms and legs removed! In the video the eleven year old girl tells about how she must cook, clean and help her mom with make up and almost every thing else around the house. I was thinking about "what if this happened to my mom". I would be so bad at it. I have trouble at home remembering to do all my chores some times so if I had to take care of my mom ,me,my little brother and still have time for home work and friends I would be so stressed out and be crazy. I also thought about how the mom and her kids must feel about it because they had to switch places around the house. I know my mom wants me to do more around the house to help her and all but I don't know that she would like it if she was helpless. I think that a mom does not have to help their kids and love them but it is thrust upon them when they do have a kid. I think when a mother gives birth she automatically has a feeling of love and care for her kid. If she got that taken from her she would probably feel helpless and not like she is a good provider. I know there are people who do not take care for their children and some times that can mess them up for life but it must be very hard for this woman because she wants to help and walk and be independent again but because of her disability she can not. She did say she is copping with it, but I still think it would be terribly difficult to switch places with my mom.
