NASA good or bad

NASA sent a "Lunar crater observation sensing satellite" to the moon to send a Centaur upper stage rocket to the moons surface. Nasa is hoping that the impact will make a 60 foot dust cloud and that would help the LCROSS probe find water vapor on the moons surface. The LCROSS is carrying Spectrometers,Near infrared cameras,Visible cameras and Radiometers. They hoped that the instruments would help them get better results. We did find water vapor in the dust more than 250 metric tone. This is so cool, we could possibly live on the moon some day. I think that is just so amazing . I love space, like I told my friend when I read this if I had the money I would move up there in a minute. But like I said if I had the money and it costs a lot of money to get all this stuff and send it in to space. Every one is talking about how bad our economy is and how we are so in dept. How are we affording this? Im guessing that part of it if not all is from the government which makes no sense to me at all. There are so many things that are more important. The moon will always be there but the economy is failing. People are starving cause we don't have jobs. Jobs are moving to other countries. The U.S. always has to be the best at this, that and the other, so we want to go see the moon and colonize it first. True, that is a long ways away but if we keep spending our needed money on this kind of stuff we will not be top any more because our jobs got moved to India or China. Again I think this a very cool project but it also is very expensive and the U.S. needs to be spending our money on more important things. I think the U.S. needs to take a break from all of this and focus on us and helping the people and the economy not our rankings.
